In this section you will be guided through the download, installation process.

SpectraFox comes precompiled in two different versions:

• The stable version is more extensively tested, but might not include all features.
• The development version contains the latest features, which might still contain more basic bugs.

On the download page you can choose the desired version. Check the changelogs of each version for their differences in features.

The standard setup requires Administrator privileges on your computer, since it tries to install the software to the standard program folder on your system disk. If you do not have elevated privileges on your computer, you might also download a low-privilege version, which installs to your user directory.

Start the file you just downloaded, and follow the instructions of the wizard. If you have selected the low-privilege version, please select a setup folder, which does not require administrator privileges to write to.
